Vest Kran has recently been lifting and installing of conveyor bands for the expansion of Vestkanten, Bergen.
Vestkanten AS, where Olav Thon Eiendomsselskap ASA is the majority shareholder, will be extended southward with two new floors for trade, as well as areas for parking in the basement, at street level and on the roof. In front of the center is the construction of a glass building that will include new public access with lifts and moving walks. In addition, there will be new areas for trade on street level.
Veidekke AS is the general contractor of the development that has a value of 194 million excl. sales tax.
Vest Kran's customer was Vestkanten AS, and supplier of the conveyor bands was ThyssenKrupp Rulletrapper, who supplied a great deal of expertise and efficiency during the project. ThyssenKrupp Rulletrapper has extensive experience and have been a supplier to the Norwegian market for over 50 years. Vest Kran is very pleased with the cooperation of the various actors on the project.
Svein Erik, installer at ThyssenKrupp Rulletrapper:
"We are very pleased with the job you did for us on this project"
The job had to be done at night because of the transport of the long moving walkways, which had a length of up to 30 meters.
Vestkanten now has all the rolling sidewalks they have ordered, and we look forward to the opening of the new center this fall.
